Tim Rennick is living it. After a surprise altercation, he started training Jiu Jitsu to get in self-defense shape. Starting out, Tim was obese (255lbs) and believed his grappling experience and size would give him an edge over many in the training room. However, men 80lbs lighter controlled and submitted him at will, effortlessly. This eye-opening experience drove Tim to pursue the art daily ever since. 50lbs lighter, multiple tournament championships, and a few world championships later, Tim’s transformation continues. Now he and his wife LaCheri , also an avid practitioner, share their insights with kids and adults in the Wildomar, CA area.
